Aberdeen Trawlers "Courlis" and "Strathlossie"

A pair of Aberdeen steam trawlers in heavy North Sea weather.  The "Courlis" (A51) was built in 1919 at Aberdeen, and was owned by the Wilronwood Fishing Co. Ltd., while the "Strathlossie" (A952), built in 1910, also at Aberdeen, was owned by the Faithlie Fishing Co. Ltd.

This painting is 24 x 18 inches in size, and is in oils on hardboard.  It was bought by a visitor to the studio.
