The Buckie seine-netter "Surmount" was built by Jones Shpyard in that town in 1959.  She is pictured leaving Lerwick harbour, in fairly rough seas, leaving the Bressay lighthouse about half-a-mile behind her.

This painting is in oils on hardboard, and is 24 x 18 inches in size.  It was bought from the Catterline exhibition of early 2008.
