Peterhead Drifter/Seiner "Fertility"

The Peterhead seiner/drifter "Fertility is pictured, rigged for the herring fishing, with her mizzen sail set, as she ploughs through choppy seas on her way to land a shot of the silver darlings.  She was built in the mid-1950s and was owned by a partnership headed by James G Hay.

The painting is 24 x 18 inches in size, and is in oils on hardboard.  It was bought from the exhibition at the Creel Inn, Catterline, in early 2008.
